Race 1 FREEMASONS DEVOTION MAIDEN - 1608 metres:

Here De Drums Raced keenly in the early stages. Rider C. Pace reported that the gelding which was up in distance, travelled well throughout, however failed to respond to her riding when placed under pressure.

Randolph Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.

Sea Flash Slow to begin.

Race 2 LADTIME PUMPING ON YOUR STEREO TROPHY - 1608 metres:

Race 3 JOHN BAULCH BIRTHDAY MAIDEN - 1008 metres:

The start of the race was delayed by 5 minutes as the barriers had not yet been placed in the correct starting position and required moving.

Forest Lady Had some difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn.

Devine Tilly Began awkwardly.

Race 4 COWES COMMUNITY BANK TROPHY - 1008 metres:

Bonjour Belle Performed below market expectations. Rider J. Sanders reported that his saddle slipped back during the event, placing him at a disadvantage. He further added that the mare failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Be Miss Luchy Began awkwardly.

Little Red Rooster Slow to begin. Rider C. Heard reported that after beginning awkwardly, the gelding raced ungenerously in the early stages, getting its head up and was reluctant to stride out and for this reason she got further back during the middle stages than intended. She added that when placed under pressure the gelding commenced to lay in and proved difficult to ride out in her usual manner. She added that connections indicated that they would experiment with a change of gear at the geldings next start.

Groove On Held up rounding the home turn.

Race 5 WONTHAGGI CLUB HANDICAP - 1008 metres:

Howling Wolf Rider S. Cooper reported that his saddle slipped during the event.

Stanborough Bumped on jumping by Bay OF Faith which had been carried out by Cool Runnings. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

Bay Of Faith Bumped on jumping by Cool Runnings which shifted out. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Rider T. Grace reported that the gelding hung out.

Nankervis Performed below market expectations. When questioned regarding her vigour over the concluding stages, rider D. Waymouth reported via telephone, that the gelding weakened in the straight and felt that over the concluding stages there may be something amiss with Nankervis. She added that due to this, she didnt ride the gelding out with her usual vigour over the concluding stages. As D. Waymouth had left the course, an inquiry into this matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable in the following days to ascertain as whether anything has come to light that may have affected the geldings performance.

Cool Runnings (NZ) Commenced awkwardly and shifted out bumping Bay Of Faith.

Race 6 THE STEPHEN MANION CUP - 2008 metres:

Drexler (NZ) Held up rounding the home turn and until approaching the 150 metres.

Mr Gogarty Slow to begin (2L). Rider C. King reported that the gelding was slow to begin and failed to travel throughout the event.
