Other Comments / Explanations:

On arrival the track was inspected by Stewards, who agreed with the track rating of a Good 4, however noted that the section of track out of the 1600 metre chute and until passing the 1300 metres was softer than the remainder of the course and was heavy.

Race 1 MMCORMICK TRANSPORT MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:

Bon Torr Mor Slow to begin.

My Girl Nat Began awkwardly. Raced keenly during the early and middle stages.

Miss Harro Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover.

Marilyns Wish Jumped the crossing near the 1000 metres. Became unbalanced for several strides near the 250 metres.

Race 2 NO FUSS EVENT HIRE TROPHY RACE (3) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Alsimon Near the 900 metres was hampered and carried in when tightened for room by Messika (Courtney Pace) which was shifting in to obtain a position closer to the fence after racing wide. Southern Silver, which was racing inside of Alsimon was eased as a consequence. In the circumstances, Courtney Pace was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise far greater care when shifting ground. Near the 250 metres was carried out then had to be steadied when tightened for room by Southern Silver (Debbie Waymouth), which after initially attempting to shift out to improve its position, shifted further despite the efforts of its rider. In the circumstances D Waymouth was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise more care when in similar circumstances.

Messika Raced wide during the early stages before striding to sit outside the leader after passing the 900 metres.

Southern Silver Eased near the 900 metres when tightened for room by Alsimon. When racing keenly near the 700 metres steadied from the heels of Alsimon.

Grant Seccombe, rider of Alsimon pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR115(1)(a), the misconduct being that on pulling up following race two and in the mounting yard on return to scale, he used foul language and made inappropriate comments toward rider Debbie Waymouth. Grant Seccombe was fined $400. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account his guilty plea and record in this area.

Race 3 INFASTECH ENGINEERED FASTENING TROPHY RACE (2) HANDICAP - 1050 metres:

Dream On Monty Slow to begin. Rider L Taylor reported that the gelding failed to travel at any stage throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and swab sample was taken for analysis.

Little Red Rooster Raced keenly during the middle stages.

Race 4 LOIS & ROY RACE OF CHAMPIONS OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1050 metres:

Its A Shame Billy Change of tactics to be ridden more forward. After being slow to begin settled at the rear.

Lizzys Kid Began awkwardly.

Race 5 BETEASY BALNARRING CUP - 1600 metres:

Step On It Raced wide without cover.

Gee Whizzer Raced wide without cover. Rider Dani walker was fined $200 for using her whip on nine occasions prior to the 100 metre mark. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account her record in relation to whip breaches.

Cosmic Scoop Held up when unable to obtain clear running approaching the home turn.

Walloon Region Near the 150 metres was eased when tightened for room between Step On It and Riohsei, which was carried out by Cosmic Scoop (Tim Grace), which shifted out slightly under pressure. Tim grace was reprimanded. Approaching the winning post was eased when crowded for room between Cosmic Scoop which shifted out slightly and Step On It (Shaun Cooper), which shifted in. Both Tim Grace and Shaun Cooper were advised to exercise more care.

Race 6 MURTOS MILE TROPHY RACE (1) hANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Nobby Tom Rider Shaun Cooper reported that the gelding was not entirely suited by todays track conditions.
