Race 1 Bling It On Maiden Plate- 1200 metres:

The start of the race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to Bon Torr Mor being re-saddled on arrival at the barriers.

Correct weight was delayed to allow D Walker the rider of Code Of Arms (2nd Placegetter) to view the Stewards patrol footage near the 600 metres before D Walker decided to not proceed with lodging an objection.

Bon Torr Mor Re-saddled upon arrival at the barriers.

Code Of Arms Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination upon arrival at the barriers and was passed suitable to race. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Near the 800 metres when over-racing eased when placed close to the heels of Nobby Tom.

Galdocino Lay in when under pressure from the 400 metres.

Maldestro Raced wide without cover for the majority.

Fritz N Sauce Restrained from the start to settle at the rear of the field.

Groove On Near the 600 metres was to be restrained when racing in restricted room to the inside of Nobby Tom which had shifted in marginally. Weakened over the final 200 metres. Rider C Pace could offer no explanation for the performance of the mare. Post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Race 2 Brighter Days Trophy Race (1) Handicap - 1200 metres:

Reward The Missus Slow to begin. Settled at the rear of the field. Rider S Cooper reported that his mount hung in throughout the event and proved difficult to ride out when under pressure. Post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Southern Silver Approaching the 250 metres was inconvenienced when attempting to obtain a neat run between Bettina and Dad N Bris Shed which had been carried out by Evening Spirit. Approaching the 100 metres momentarily hampered between Bettina and Dad N Bris Shed which had shifted out.

Rets - Approaching the 1200 metres commenced to over-race when being restrained to obtain cover. Raced wide without cover. Rider C King was spoken to advisedly in regard to her whip use on a horse that was out of contention.

Race 3 Mathew Obrien Memorial Open Trophy Race Handicap - 1200 metres:

The start of the race was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to Victorian Crown being re-saddled on arrival at the barriers.

Victorian Crown After re-saddling the gelding, the bridle then needed to be re-fitted and after not being able adjust the bridle, the gelding was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 1.54pm. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded. Stewards orders in relation to betting were: All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket:

Specific Choice Underwent a veterinary examination upon arrival at the barriers after making contact with the gate leaving the mounting yard and was passed suitable to race. Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.

Bay of Faith Lay out under pressure in the straight. Lost a near fore plate in running.

Unruly Student Raced wide without cover throughout.

Shanghai Rooster Slow to begin before trailing the field in the early and middle stages.

Race 4 R.I.Pete Open Trophy Race Handicap - 2600 metres:

Annaman Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Eased down from the 400 metres. Rider S Cooper could offer no explanation for the performance other than in his opinion the gelding did not run out a strong 2600 metres. The gelding locked both patellas upon a post-race veterinary examination and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.

Colonel Klink (NZ) Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages

Ruzaton Raced wide without cover from the 1600 metres.

Katazyna Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up between the 400 metres and 250 metres and was then disappointed for a run between Ruzaton and Colonel Klink (NZ).

Race 5 Thank You Margaret Allard Trophy Race (2) Handicap - 1650 metres:

Snowy Black Raced wide without cover throughout. On return to scale rider C Pace reported that the gelding hung in when under pressure in the straight.

Johnny Romance Raced four wide without cover from the 100 metres.

Knockout Johnny Difficult to load before standing flat footed and missing the start by 8 lengths. Reluctant to muster speed in the early and middle stages. Trainer E Bourke was notified that the gelding must now trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a jump out. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the gelding to be lame in the right fore leg. Trainer E Bourke was notified that he would be required to produce a veterinary certificate for the gelding prior to it accepting to race again.

Ponbar Finale Over the concluding stages steadied when tightened by Pistol (NZ) (M Keenan) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. Rider M Keenan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Repercharge Near the 200 metres steadied to avoid the heels of Pistol (NZ) which shifted out.

Race 6 Healesville Terminus Hotel Golden Thong Open Trophy Race Handicap - 1650 metres:

Prior to the declaration of correct weight rider D Dean rider of Our Cee Bee (2nd Placegetter) lodged an objection against Miss Vonlozzi (1st Placegetter) alleging interference over the final 150 metres of the race. On the evidence and available footage it was established that near the 150 metres Our Cee Bee was brushed by Miss Vonlozzi which shifted in when laying in before being corrected by its rider. Over the concluding stages Miss Vonlozzi continued to lay in when under pressure towards Our Cee Bee resulting in that gelding being bumped. As Stewards did not believe that the inference suffered was greater than then margin of a half neck and warranted a reversal of the placings Stewards declared correct weight on the judges numbers.

Earthling Held up rounding the home turn and until passing the 150 metres.

Miss Vonlozzi Lay in under pressure in the straight. Near the 150 metres when laying in brushed with Our Cee Bee. Over the concluding stages lay in and bumped Our Cee Bee.

Riverina Explorer Carried in passing the winning post on the first occasion by Shes A Headturner which shifted in. Approaching the 1000 metres was permitted to stride forward taking up a position outside the leader near the 600 metres.

Can Get A Witness Passing the winning post on the first occasion was checked to avoid the heels of Riverina Explorer which had been carried in momentarily by Shes A Headturner (R Douglas) which shifted before being straightened by its rider. R Douglas was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for permitting his mount to shift ground when not sufficiently clear.

Rider D Walker was fined $200 under the provisions of AR115(1)(a) in that she used inappropriate language passing the winning post on the first occasion.

Race 7 Next Race meeting Derby Day 2nd November Maiden Plate - 1650 metres:

Bobby White Sox Hung out throughout proving difficult to ride before being eased down in the straight. Connections advised that the gelding would now likely be retired from racing.

Jocks Hung out rounding the home turn.

Ronnyzariz Raced wide without cover throughout.

Super Frankie - Performed below market expectations. Rider D Waymouth reported that after being tightened for room passing the winning post on first occasion her mount failed to settle and failed to finish the event off as expected. A post-race veterinary inspection failed to reveal any abnormalities veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities

Malenna Was awkwardly placed close to the heels of Red Moon Miss near the 600 metres.

Malonga Checked at the start between Roccachilli and Malenna which had been carried out by Red Moon Miss.
