Race 1 EAST MALVERN RSL MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres:

Cava Fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin and then failed to muster early speed, taking no competitive part in the event. Rider C Pace explained that the mare, having her first race start today would take benefit from todays experience. A warning was issued for its performance today.

Something Missing Steadied near the 600m when tightened for room by Kuroyume (D Dean) which shifted in. D Dean was notified to exercise far greater care in similar circumstances. Performed below market expectations. Rider S Cooper explained the gelding failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure and may be better suited with the addition of blinkers.

Kuroyume Commenced awkwardly.

Race 2 THE CHRIS WINKS SWAN SONG TROPHY (2) HANDICAP - 1000 metres:

Little Rio Raced wide without cover throughout. Carried wider rounding the home turn by Hint Of Moonlight which was taken out by Beau Victory when hanging out. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Trainer D Dwyer and rider S Cooper viewed the Stewards patrol film before deciding not to proceed with an objection.

Beau Victory Commenced awkwardly. Hung out and rounding the home turn shifted out taking Hint Of Moonlight out onto Little Rio. Rider T Johnson was spoken to advisedly regarding whip use over the concluding stages.

Warrigal Mac Resuming from a long spell. Underwent a veterinary examination upon arrival on course and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin.

Race 3 THE HAYCH BARKER CLASSIC TROPHY (1) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Jude The Obscure - Rider G Seccombe reported that his saddle slipped during the early stages placing him at a disadvantage. He added his saddle slipped further to the left near the 100m and for this reason he eased his mount down over the concluding stages.

Cosmic Scoop Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the straight

Race 4 THE RIGGIE STAKES OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Green Tea Ice Bumped at the start with Bon Jovial due to both horses shifting ground.

Robin The Rich Rider D Dean advised his mount had a tendency to lay in throughout.

Race 5 THE NO FUSS EVENT HIRE HEALESVILLE CUP - 1650 metres:

Sommernachtstraum Slow to begin.

Earthling Approaching the winning post on the first occasion when laying out, bumped with Derek The Viking. Raced wide throughout.

Derek The Viking Bumped with Earthling approaching the winning post on the first occasion when racing wide. Allowed to stride forward and take up a position outside the leader near the 1100m.

Paterangi Steadied at the entrance to the straight when awkwardly placed on the heels of Derek The Viking, A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 6 STUS 30TH BIRTHDAY TROPHY (3) HANDICAP - 1650 metres:

Becerikli Began awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and hampered Hypermarionation. Over raced in the early and middle stages.

Bayfury Hung out. Near the 1100m when hanging out had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Danes Ryker (C Kirkpartick) which shifted in. C Kirpatrick was notified to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Hypermarionation Slow to begin and hampered shortly after the start.

Knockout Johnny Underwent a veterinary examination upon arrival at the barriers at the request of rider M Morris. Acting on veterinary advice Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 4.31pm.

All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded.

All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket:
