T. Lake was severely reprimanded for failing to fulfil riding engagement due to being overweight.

Race 1 Woods environmental maiden plate - 1000 metres:

Bettina raced wide without cover

Free To Run Whilst parading in the mounting yard became fractious and dislodged rider Ms C. Pace. she was examined by the doctor and passed fit to ride. Free To Run was examined by the veterinarian and passed suitable to race. However a warning was placed on Free To Run for its pre-race manners. Slow to begin.

Little Nasty commenced to buck for some distance shortly after the start and as a result rider S. Cooper was dislodged. Trainer T. Maddox was notified that the mare was now suspended from racing until it trials to the stewards satisfaction. S Cooper was examined by the doctor and did not suffer any injury.

Sally Sells Shells (NZ) began awkwardly

Race 2 rhind 40th celebration trophy race(1) HANDICAP- 1000 metres:

The Tale Of Aver began awkwardly, raced wide without cover.

Onyeka slow to begin.

Taquito Lass began awkwardly

Race 3 slug mather memorial open trophy race HANDICAP - 1000 metres:

Ten Times bumped at the start with Melomane, shortly after shifted in and bumped with Harvard Graduate.

Bonnies Marley (3rd place getter 1.5 fav) when questioned regarding the performance of Bonnies Marley, rider T. Lake explained that the mare travelled well in the early and middle stages and was disappointing when it failed to run on as expected. He added that Bonnies Marley had pulled up blowing significantly. A subsequent veterinary examination sometime after the race, identified the presence of blood at both nostrils. Bonnies Marley shall not without permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months thereafter; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward. A swab sample was taken.

Harvard Graduate shortly after the start bumped by Ten Times.

Melomane bumped with Ten Times at the start.

Race 4 BIG RIG TROPHY RACE(1) HANDICAP 1200 metres:

Wanion raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Moss And Me laid out round the home turn and in the straight.

Race 5 CATIE HOCKING TROPHY RACE(1) HANDICAP - 1650 metres:

Can Get A Witness raced wide without cover.

Grasshopper vision was shown to rider T. Grace in the presence of Jockey Mentor P. Hutchinson regarding his whip use. After considering his inexperience and that he was trying to use the whip vigorously which resulted in T. Grace becoming unbalanced on several occasions in the straight. He was spoken to advisedly and given examples of techniques for which would benefit him.

Johnny Romance raced keenly in the early stages.

Race 6 HOGAN, TUNG, STONIS, MCINTYRE TEACHERS OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP - 1650 metres:

Dehughes rider M. Keenan reported that the gelding which was second up from a spell raced keenly and as a result lead the field by some lengths.
