Race 1 The blade derby trophy race (1) handicap - 1600 metres:

The Tale Of Aver As there was no suitable replacement rider available, Stewards permitted rider Toby Lake to fulfil his engagement on gelding at half a kilogram over its handicapped weight (66.5 kilos). T Lake was fined $100 under the provisions of AR120(b).

Can Get A Witness Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover from the 700 metre mark. After passing the 300 metres was carried wider when bumped by The Tale Of Aver which was shifting out to obtain clear running.

Burzali Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Rider Geoff Brunsdon was reminded of his obligation in regards to his consecutive whip use inside the final 100 metres, and advised he must give his mounts time to respond.

Regal Impact Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

Diamond The Lad Rider Anita Bell reported that the gelding which was first up from a spell, raced one paced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.

Lifeinthefasttrain Rider Courtney Pace reported that the mare may be suited to races over a longer journey than todays event.

Golden Tart Raced keenly in the lead.

Race 2 beteasy maiden plate - 2000 metres:

Classical Lady Rider Geoff Brunsdon reported that his mount raced keenly in the lead. When racing ungenerously near the 1600 metres made the crossing awkwardly and became unbalanced.

Drexler Slow to begin. Passing the 300 metres was held up for a short distance behind Classical Lady before changing course to that mares outside to improve.

Albraka Rider Toby Lake was reminded of his obligations to ride all of his mounts out fully to the winning post where possible.

Race 3 beteasy open trophy race handicap - 2000 metres:

Celestial Sky Rider Toby Lake reported that in his opinion the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action and for this reason did not test his mount out fully over the concluding stages, he further added that the gelding would be better suited to tracks with more give.

Grasshopper Rider Tim Grace reported that the gelding did not travel well during the event and would be better suited to a drop back in distance.

Toss The Bouquet Commenced awkwardly with its head up. Near the 200 metres was momentarily inconvenienced when attempting a tight run to the inside of Derek The Viking, which shifted in slightly.

Derek The Viking When racing keenly after passing the 1400 metres was allowed to stride to take up the lead after passing the 1200 metres.

Turning Times After passing the 1400 metres was allowed to stride to take up a position on the speed near the 1200 metres.

Race 4 beteasy maiden plate - 1200 metres:

Erodude Commenced awkwardly and was then bumped by Just Rhinestone.

Just Rhinestone On jumping away was bumped by Zhenya that shifted out.

Family Witness Slow to begin.

Mia Savannah Slow to begin.

Zhenya Held up when unable to obtain clear running from the 400 metres until changing course to the outside of the field near the 200 metres to improve.

Race 5 clancy constructions trophy race (2) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Atalaga Late scratching by order of Stewards at 12.56pm on veterinary advice (lame in the near fore).

Boots An All Rider Max Keenan reported that the gelding did not travel comfortably throughout the race and further struggled under the big weight of 69 kilograms. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis.

Ponbar Finale Slow to begin.

Sally Sells Shells Slow to begin.

Tynong Rocket Got its head up shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

Shackleys Hill Began awkwardly.

Race 6 GEOFF NORMAN OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Lord Mornington Upon arrival at the barriers was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the request of rider Shaun Cooper and was subsequently deemed unfit to start. As such Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of Lord Mornington at 3.51pm and ordered the following deductions be made with respect to betting. Trainer Peter White was advised that a Veterinary Certificate of fitness will be required prior to the gelding racing again.

All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded.

All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket:

Minute By Minute Slow into stride. Rider Raymond Douglas reported that the gelding failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A Post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Connections advised that they will consider the geldings racing future in the following days.

Parvenu Raced wide without cover throughout the event. Post race veterinary examination of Parvenu identified the presence of blood in one nostril. Parvenu shall not be permitted to start in any race or official trial until such time the gelding has completed a satisfactory gallop of at least 1,000 metres in the presence of a Steward.

Unruly Student Raced wide without cover throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have been galloped on the off hind

Tigerdan Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

Race 7 BETEASY MAIDEN PLATE - 1050 metres:

Southern Silver Connections advised that from the favourable barrier they would attempt to ride the mare more forward. Settled just behind the speed.

Obsolete Began awkwardly. Rider Raymond Douglas could offer no explanation for the performance. Post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Shaziing Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Laid in when under pressure in the straight.

Bettina Raced wide without cover for a major part of the event.
