Other Comments / Explanations:

Prior to the running of race one Stewards along with all riders engaged in race one inspected a number of sections of the track, in particular the 1600 metre chute and an area near the 1250 metres where a sprinkler leakage had caused an area of concern which was significantly softer than the rest of the track. All riders engaged in race one along with stewards deemed it suitable for the running of race one.

Due to the softer section of track stewards acting under the provisions of LR22B amended the distances of the following races to:

Race 1 1600 metres to 1570 metres

Race 2 1300 metres to 1200 metres

Race 3 1300 metres to 1200 metres

Race 4 1300 metres to 1200 metres

Race 6 1600 metres to 1570 metres

Following the running of race one stewards again inspected the section of track and deemed it safe to continue racing.
