Race 1 KILLY CATERING TROPHY RACE(1) HANDICAP - 1008 metres:

Bemarydan A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities

Delightful Spirit Hampered shortly after the start between Family Business and Runs For Fun which was also tightened when BannedNDangerous shifted in.

Playboy Spike Began awkwardly and lost ground.

BannedNDangerous Commenced awkwardly and shifted in marginally. Rider reported that the gelding raced one pace. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Tickaloy Approaching the 600m was momentarily steadied when tightened for room by Bemarydan (G. Seccombe) which shifted in slightly when improving. Rider G Seccombe was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137(a) and reminded to exercise more care when in similar circumstances. Rider Angela Bence was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137(b) for failing to ride her mount out to the end of the race and was reminded of her obligation to do so wherever possible. In assessing penalty Stewards were satisfied her actions did not affect the placings.

Family Business Commenced Awkwardly and shifted out.

Runs For Fun Shortly after the start was tightened for room between BannedNDangerous which shifted in and Delightful Spirit which was carried out by Family Business. After passing the 500m was carried wider by Delightful Spirit which itself had been carried wider by Silent Dance which was improving.

Race 2 DURRAY CUP OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1008 metres:

You Did What Rider Grant Seccombe reported that the gelding may be better suited over a longer distance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Secret Sequin Raced wide throughout. Rider Dani Walker was fined $200 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(A)(ii) for using her whip on four more occasions than permitted before the 100m. Dani Walker was further reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(A)(i) for using her whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m.

Agnus Darling Raced wide throughout. Lay out rounding the home turn.

Race 3 THE CAPE TAVERN MAIDEN PLATE - 1008 metres:

Beetle Bomb Commenced awkwardly and knuckled. Raced wide throughout.

Mr Richie Approaching the 600 metres was steadied when bumped by Little Nasty on several occasions.

In His Sights Lay out in the straight.

Little Nasty When questioned rider Dylan Dean explained that approaching the 600m when Bella Boss had improved into a neat run on the inside of his mount, he heard calling from rider Courtney Pace (Bella Boss) to which he was uncertain if he was causing interference and so he elected to restrain his mount and in doing so bumped with Mr Richie on several occasions. Made the home turn awkwardly and shifted out.

Show Bella Slow into stride.

Bella Boss Near the 600m became unbalanced for a number of strides after improving into an awkward position to the inside of Little Nasty. Rider Courtney Pace was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137(a) for improving into a run where in the opinion of stewards there was not sufficient room to do so.

Race 4 MANLIFT HIRE OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 2308 metres:

Fold Raced keenly in the early stages.

Lardner Lou Examined on arrival on course after racing yesterday and was passed fit to race. Commenced awkwardly.

You Wan Sum Carried wider near the 700m by Option Trader who was laying out.

Option Trader Raced keenly in the early and middle stages in the lead. Laid out near the 700m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Woodcutter Girl A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Suspiria (NZ) Slow into stride. Rider Leigh Taylor reported that the gelding may not have ran out the distance of todays event. Trainer Troy Kilgower was fined $50 under the provisions of AR140A for presenting the gelding in the mounting yard without blinkers, which are a part of its approved gear. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have post race thumps and recovered ok.

Race 5 SAN REMO IGA OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1708 metres:

Bolshoi Belle Examined on arrival on course after racing yesterday and was passed fit to race. Raced wide throughout.

Eco Road Bounded at the start. Raced keenly throughout the event. Rider Courtney Pace reported that the gelding may not have handled todays firm track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Shanghai Rooster Became unbalanced turning out of the straight on the first occasion when being carried out slightly by Eco Road.

Becerikli Raced keenly in the early stages.

Race 6 ROBERT MULLALY MEMORIAL TROPHY RACE (1) HANDICAP - 1708 metres:

Coureuse Controls Slow to begin.

Night Of Regret Late scratching by order of stewards at 11.36am. Trainer Sunny Reeve was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR114(c) for failing to scratch by the prescribed time. In assessing penalty stewards took into account that her actions did not cost another runner gaining a start, and that this was the first time that she had been spoken to in regards to this rule.

Kalaru Girl Passing the 900m got its head up and became unbalanced for a number of strides.

Tynong Rocket Rider Peta Tait reported that the gelding may have gotten its tongue over the bit.
