Race 1 anders 60th lap trophy race (3) handicap - 1000 metres:

Bilby Form update; Finished 8 of 9 at Pakenham on the 1/2/18 in a 1000m Class 1 handicap beaten 8.9 lengths. Raced wide without cover in the early stages before striding forward to lead passing the 600 metres. Lay in under pressure in the early stages.

Eco Road Dipped on jumping. Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Performed below market expectations. Rider C Pace reported that the gelding hung out rounding the home turn and in her opinion, would be better suited in races of further distances than todays event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Captain Material Dipped passing the 700 metres. Rider T Lake reported that the gelding would be better suited on tracks with more give that todays Good 3.

Lochend Emmarose Slow to begin.

Race 2 four pillars gin maiden plate - 1000 metres:

Aceti Lady After becoming fractious in the mounting yard reared over and became cast against a fence. As such acting on veterinary advise stewards ordered the withdrawal of the mare at 1.51pm. Trainer B Baynes was advised that the mare must now officially trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to accepting to race again. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded.

All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket:

Place Bets (For 2nd) Beau Victory 12 cents

Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the actions of rider R Douglas following Aceti Lady becoming cast to a date and time to be fixed.

The Extortionist Reluctant to leave the mounting yard. Trainer T Kilgower was notified that a warning would be placed on the geldings record for its pre-race manners. Commenced awkwardly. Lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.

High Flying Joe Commenced awkwardly shifting out abruptly bumping Beau Victory. Raced extremely ungenerously in the early stages. Commenced to hang out from the 700 metres. Trainer A Pace was notified that the horse in now suspended from racing until it trials to the satisfaction of the stewards in a trial due to its racing manners.

Beau Victory Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping.

Redentes Dream Knuckled on jumping becoming unbalanced.

Show Bella Slow to begin before being steadied off the heels of High Flying Joe which shifted out.

Angel Toff Performed below market expectations. Rider C Pace reported that the gelding did not travel well at any stage of the event and that when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Race 3 wiltshire family maiden plate - 1650 metres:

Suspiria (NZ) Commenced awkwardly.

The Pride Of Fury Commenced awkwardly. Rider M Morris reported that despite her efforts to urge the gelding forward in the early stages it was reluctant to stride forward and for this reason trailed the field throughout. Trainer T Kilgower was notified that the gelding is now suspended from racing until such time as it performs to the satisfaction of stewards in a trial due to its poor performance. T Kilgower reported that it was now his intention to retire the gelding from racing.

Star Slice Rider T Lake reported that the mare raced greenly throughout.

Erodude Raced wide without cover until passing the 1100 metres. Lay out rounding the home turn.

Burzali (NZ) Rider G Brunsdon was notified to ensure that he rides all his mounts out fully to the end of the race.

Race 4 racv club open trophy race handicap - 1650 metres:

The start of this race was delayed 15 minutes to due rider M Keenan requiring medical attention after becoming dislodged.

Barley Mo On route to the barriers rider M Keenan became dislodged, before the mare then galloped riderless for some distance making contact with the outside running rail and exiting the racecourse before being recaptured. As such stewards ordered the late scratching of the mare at 3.13pm. A post race veterinary examination of the mare revealed a minor laceration to the chest. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded.

Shes A Headturner Dipped on jumping.

Firespark Commenced awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages. Passing the 800 metres became unbalanced and bumped with Yalta on several occasions being after carried out by Stynes (D Dean) which shifted out. D Dean was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR137(a) for shifting ground when not sufficiently clear. Near the 300 metres when laying in had to be checked when racing in restricted room between Yalta which shifted in marginally and Stynes which shifted out marginally. As stewards could not be satisfied that any one rider could be attributed to the interference, they advised all riders to exercise care when shifting ground in future.

Stynes Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Near the 900 metres when racing keenly had to shift out when racing close to the heels of My Running Mate. Passing the 800 metres bumped with Firespark becoming unbalanced. Performed below market expectations. Rider D Dean stated that the gelding did not appreciate racing inside other runners and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Yalta Raced wide without cover throughout. Passing the 800 metres becoming unbalanced after being bumped by Firespark which was carried out.

My Running Mate Raced wide without cover until passing the 1000 metres.

Maldonardo (NZ) Commenced awkwardly. Rider T Lake was fined $100 under the provisions of AR137(c) for making a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.

Race 5 rsn racing pulse open trophy race handicap - 1200 metres:

The start of this race was delayed by 5 minutes due to the delay in the starting of race 4.

Howling Wolf Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early and middle stages before striding to the lead near the 600 metres.

Bred By Ted Slow to begin.

Race 6 milk men trophy race (2) handicap - 1200 metres:

Yokohama Slow to begin.

Bern For You Slow into stride.

Zai Bu Zai Raced wide without cover throughout.

Hay Buddy Raced keenly in the early stages.

Quick Beers Rider C Pace reported that the gelding was disappointing and that when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding.

Dont Forget Tiny Hung out throughout. Near the 300 metres when hanging out had to be steadied to avoid heels. Performed below market expectations. Rider C King could offer no explanation for the geldings performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
