Race 1 DROUIN VET CLINIC MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:

Ripslinger Slow to begin.

Kalashani Gem Raced greenly when wide without cover throughout the event.

Just A Queen Trailed the field by a considerable margin throughout the event despite the urgings of its rider and finished a distant last. Rider L Collins reported that the mare failed to travel at any stage during the running of the event, before easing Just A Queen down at the entrance to the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from post race coughing and a slower than normal recovery. Trainer C Templeton was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to Just A Queen racing again.

Race 2 DROUIN WASTE RECYCLERS TROPHY (1) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Silent Dance Became fractious in the stabling area, reared up at struck its head in its stall whilst be saddled. Subsequently Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of Silent Dance at 1:34pm. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: Win Bets 10 cents, Place Bets (For Winner) 18 cents, Place Bets (For 2nd) - 17 cents *All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket.

Hay Buddy Slow into stride.

Bellefontein Rider C Pace reported that the mare was not suited by the firm track conditions.

Following the running of race two Stewards upgraded the track to a Firm 2 at 2.02pm.

Race 3 DROUIN HOME TIMBER AND HARDWARE OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

King Mapoora Late scratching at 2.08pm due to the track upgrade.

Rileys Rocket On jumping away was hampered when tightened for room between Bred By Ted and Va Va Voom, that shifted in after beginning awkwardly.

Va Va Voom Began awkwardly and shifted in. Lay out rounding the home turn.

Race 4 CUTTING EDGE ELECTRICAL DROUIN CUP - 1775 metres:

Before You Think Began awkwardly with its head up. Raced keenly during the middle stages.

Dangerpet Rider M Keenan reported that the gelding was not suited by the firm track conditions.

Celestial Sky Rider T Lake reported that his mount was not suited by the firm track conditions.

Race 5 ROGER MANSON PANELS MAIDEN PLATE - 1775 metres:

Kalaru Girl Rider T Lake was fined $100 under the provisions of AR120(b) for accepting the ride and then having to be replaced by rider A Bell due to being overweight. Commenced awkwardly then had to be checked when tightened for room between Tynong Rocket and Randarock which was carried out by Roccachilli.

Tynong Rocket Raced keenly during the early and middle stages.

Super Job Raced wide during the early stages before restraining to find cover behind the leaders.

Lot Of Laughs Rider R Goodwin reported that the gelding raced very greenly and did not feel right in its action, and for this reason he elected to ease Lot Of Laughs down from the 700m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the left foreleg. Trainer Matthew Brown was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to the gelding racing again and that Lot Of Laughs would be suspended from racing until such time it trials to the satisfaction of Stewards.

Super Job A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have bowed its left fore tendon. Trainer Tania Maddox was advised that the mare will require a veterinary certificate of fitness prior to racing again.

Race 6 PHIL DOCTOR DENT TROPHY (2) HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Sandhill Ruler Began awkwardly. Shifted out abruptly at the crossing after passing the winning post on the first occasion, resulting in rider L Collins becoming badly unbalanced and almost being dislodged. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have ruptured its off fore superficial digital flexor tendon. Trainer Mick Templeton was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to the gelding racing again.

Becerikli Began awkwardly.

My Running Mate Had some difficulty obtaining clear running at the entrance to the straight.

Tortured Poet raced wide without cover throughout the event.
