Race 1 gourmet paddock balnarring open handicap - 2000 metres:

Prior to the declaration of correct weight, A Bence rider of Lardner Lou (2nd Placegetter) viewed the official photo finish image before agreeing with the judges decision, as such correct weight was declared.

Earn A Quid Slow to begin and was reluctant to stride out in the early stages despite the efforts of its rider.

Becerikli Commenced awkwardly. Jumped the crossing near the 1000 metres.

Celestial Sky Slow to begin.

Moorabool Performed below market expectations. Rider D Walker reported that mare travelled well in the early and middle stages though when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding and for this reason she eased the mare down over the concluding stages. D Walker further added that she had recommended to connections to apply a tongue tie to the mares racing gear. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Race 2 cellarbrations balnarring maiden PLATE - 1600 metres:

Coombe Wood Commenced awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.

Dream Of Me Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Near the 600 metres had to be eased and shift in when racing close to the heels of Beetle Bomb.

Forty Twenty (NZ) Near the 600 metres bumped by Dream Of Me which shifted in slightly.

Osos Amigos Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

Revelry Hung in under pressure in the straight.

Race 3 Tucketts tyrepower trophy (1) handicap - 1600 metres:

Carlsen Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers at the request of its rider and was subsequently found to be lame in front. As such stewards order the withdrawal of Carlsen at 2.20pm acting on veterinary advice. Trainer N Robb was notified that he would be required to produce a veterinary certificate of soundness for the gelding prior to it accepting to race again. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded.

All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket:

Golden Tart Lay in under pressure in the straight.

Barley Mo Performed below market expectations. Rider M Corbisiero reported that the mare travelled well though when placed under pressure felt amiss and for this reason he eased it down over the concluding stages. An irregular heart rhythm was detected on post race veterinary examination. Barley Mo shall not start in any race until the Stewards have received a satisfactory veterinary report. The report must include the results of an ECG performed at rest and cardiac auscultation performed within 30 minutes of completing a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres.

Race 4 ted bull & daughter funeral directors trophy (3) handicap - 1200 metres:

Runs For Fun Commenced awkwardly and shifted out before being eased from the heels of La Tinkwha.

La Tinkwha Shifted in on jumping.

Playboy Spike Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.

Girls Got Stars Slow to begin.

Crafty Eva Commenced awkwardly.

Jabberjaws Raced wide without cover throughout.

Lochend Sam Rider R Douglas was fined $100 under the provisions of AR145 for weighing in excess of over 1 kilogram over his declared riding weight.

Race 5 galaxy print hastings open handicap - 1050 metres:

Young Farrelly A late scratching acting on veterinary advice at 8.28am.

Goody Gumdrops Slow to begin.

Heres To Saturday Commenced awkwardly.

Ten Times Over-raced in the early stages.

Hey Saint Peter Rider T Lake reported that the gelding switched off once it gained cover and then failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Ragtime Tactics queried. When questioned in relation to the tactics adopted on the mare today, rider D Walker stated that she was given no specific instructions though she would have liked to gain cover on the mare if circumstances permitted. D Walker added that after beginning very well Ragtime showed speed in the early stages before commencing to race keenly despite her efforts to restrain the mare, as a result Ragtime raced to the outside of Ten Times which was also racing keenly at this point. D Walker added that for this reason she persisted with the run to the outside of Ten Times and that Ragtime responded fairly to her riding when placed under pressure. Stewards noted her comments.

Race 6 crownbet maiden plate - 1050 metres:

Wept Slow to begin before being bumped by Aceti Lady which shifted out.

Aceti Lady Shifted out on jumping.

Classical Lady Raced wide without cover throughout.

Little Nasty Jumped the crossing near the 1000 metres.

Vanderlune Slow to begin. Lay in over the concluding stages.
