Following the running of the first race remedial works were completed on a small section of track near the 1100 metres which required fill.

Race 1 CROWN BET MAIDEN PLATE - 1050 metres:

Bella Sopressa Slow to begin. Rider G Seccombe reported that the mare failed to stretch out during the running of the event, and may be better suited to tracks with more give. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Wanion Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

Race 2 PATTERSON RIVER EELS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:

Tickaloy On route to the barriers, dislodged rider Caitlin King who suffered a harmless fall, before galloping riderless for some distance and then proving difficult to be recaptured by the clerks of the course. Subsequently Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of Tickaloy at 1:47pm. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: Win Bets 30 cents, Place Bets (For Winner) 24 cents, Place Bets (For 2nd) - 24 cents *All monies bet after the Stewards declaration of withdrawal to be paid at face value of ticket. Caitlin King was examined by the clubs doctor and passed fit to fulfil her remaining engagements. Trainer C Martindale was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings record for its behaviour today.

Lochend Emmarose Commenced awkwardly and bumped with Kalaru Girl. Passing the 1000 metres was carried out slightly by Kalaru Girl, and then raced wide without cover for the remainder of the event.

Kalaru Girl On jumping away was bumped by Lochend Emmarose.

Tynong Rocket When racing keenly passing the 1000 metres, improved onto the heels of Pleasure Gem and had to be steadied as a result.

Race 3 SUPRA CAPITAL TROPHY RACE (1) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Three Handles Shortly after the start had to be checked when tightened for room between Sheer Force and Shes A Bee which was carried in slightly by Runs For Fun.

Runs For Fun Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

Golden Tart When making ground approaching the 100 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room by Banned N Dangerous (G Brunsdon) which when racing greenly and commencing to weaken shifted out for a number of strides before then shifting back in towards the rail. In the circumstances G Brunsdon was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise more care when in similar circumstances.

Banned N Dangerous Laid in when under pressure rounding the home turn then raced greenly when weakening in the straight and was inclined to shift ground.

Race 4 BALNARRING GYM OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Albion Road Rider M Keenan reported that the gelding, which was first up from a spell, is better suited over further.

Kapscero Rider C Pace reported that the gelding failed to respond to her riding when placed under pressure, and was disappointing.

Race 5 SOHO LAWYERS OPEN TROPHY RACE - 1600 metres:

Celestial Sky Was examined upon arrival by the clubs veterinary surgeon after running at Pakenham on Thursday the 9th of November, and was passed fit to start. Raced wide without cover during the early and middle stages before striding to take up the lead after passing the 1000 metres.

Twin Tea Bags Stood flat footed as the start was affected and lost ground (6l). Trainer A Cosgriff was advised that the gelding would now be suspended from racing until such time it trials to the satisfaction of Stewards.

Race 6 FLINDERS PARTNERS GROUP TROPHY RACE (2) HANDICAP - 1600 metres:

Sanctuary Slow into stride.
