Race 1 KEN REID MEMORIAL OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP - 1008 metres:

Muss Dipped shortly after the start. Lay in under pressure in the straight.

Inigo (NZ) Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover from the 600 meters.

Race 2 WOOLAMAI VOLUNTEERS TROPHY (2) HANDICAP - 1008 metres:

Show Em Jack Prior to correct weight rider Craig Kirkpatrick viewed the official photo finish image before agreeing with the judges decision. Raced wide without cover throughout. On straightening bumped with Classy Crissi when laying out. Passing the 100 meters had to be steadied when tightened for room by Classy Crissi (App M Keenan) which shifted in when laying in. App M Keenan was severely reprimanded for shifting ground when not sufficiently clear.

Classy Crissi Bounded on jumping. Bumped with ShowEm Jack on straightening. Lay in under pressure in the straight.

Carbonendi Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Bounded on jumping. Passing the 100 meters had to be eased when racing in restricted room to the inside of Show Em Jack, which shifted in while being steadied.

Race 3 t.j. mEMORIAL LADIES BRACELET MAIDEN PLATE - 1008 metres:

Apache Shadow Approaching the 100 meters shifted in under pressure.

Jersey Rock Raced wide without cover throughout. Lay in under pressure in the straight.

Cinderally Raced wide without cover throughout.

La Monet Dipped passing the 150 meters.

Commanderbrae Hana Slow to begin. Approaching the 150 meters had to be steadied when disappointed for a run between La Monet and Apache Shadow (C Pace) which shifted in under pressure. C Pace was advised to exercise far greater when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Lochend Emmarose Commenced awkwardly shifting out. Passing the 400 meters when shifting out, had to be eased to avoid the heels of Jersey Rock.

Race 4 SAMI & sONNY TAKE 2 LETS GO DISCO MAIDEN PLATE - 1508 metres:

After the barriers were removed from the track following the start being affected, the running rail was unable to be replaced, and as such it had to be hand held to allow the horses to pass on the second occasion.

Nudey Run Stewards ordered the late withdrawal of the mare at 12.40pm after Trainer Mr T Kilgower notified stewards that the mare had a large haematoma upon its rump. Mr Kilgower was notified that prior to the mare being permitted to start he would be required to produce a veterinary certificate of fitness.

Daydream Believer Fractious in the barriers, rearing on numerous occasions. Trainer Mrs Helen White was notified that prior to the gelding starting again it would be required to complete one trial to the satisfaction of the stewards.

Earn A Quid Raced wide without cover until the 700 meters.

That Horse There Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Bumped on jumping.

Three Handles Shifted out on jumping.

Tynong Rocket Commenced awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Passing the 700 meters when over-racing had to shift to the outside of the heels of Three Handles and in doing such carried Ya Crackin Jokes wider on the track.

Ya Crackin Jokes Inclined to lay out throughout. Raced wide without cover from the 700 meters after being carried out by Tynong Rocket.

Chesters Girl Slow to begin before being bumped by That Horse There resulting in Chesters Girl clipping the heels of Three handles which had shifted out.

Race 5 BASS COAST RADIOLOGY OPEN TROPHY HANDICAP - 1508 metres:

Guadalcanal (NZ) Raced wide without cover in the middle stages.

Kondola Performed below market expectations. Rider R Goodwin could offer no explanation for the geldings poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Jack Hammer Shifted in on jumping bumping with Rapete. Lay in under pressure in the straight. Rider C Pace was reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) in that she used her whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100 meters.

Rapete Bumped on jumping.

Clever Costa Raced wide without cover from the 700 meters. Rider R Kirkpatrick dropped his whip passing the 500 meters. Eased down over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Tearaway Tommy Over-raced in the early and middle stages.

Punton Bernardini Commenced awkwardly.

Race 6 WOOLAMAI -2ND JANUARY DONT FORGET TROPHY (3) - 1608 metres:

Transfixed Lay in under pressure in the straight.

clair Raider Slow to begin.

Bar Date Performed below market expectations. Rider Mrs D Waymouth reported that the gelding never travelled throughout the event and failed to respond to her riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. When questioned in relation to todays performance, trainer Mr K Rawiller stated that the gelding had been working well in the lead up to todays event and that he had expected a forward showing. Mr Rawiller further added that in his opinion the gelding may not have been suited by the tightness of the Woolamai track.

Snitzilla Slow to begin before being allowed to stride forward around the field to obtain a position behind the leaders passing the 1200 meters.

Kai Glow Improved performance. When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance, stable representative Mr John Maddox stated that following the geldings run at Yea on the 12th of November it had undergone basic massage treatment which in his opinion had greatly assisted the gelding. Mr Maddox further added that the gelding had been working well in the lead up to todays event and the stable had expected a forward showing.
