Race 1 John Dart dash maiden - 1000 metres:

Loxall Shortly after the start tightened for room between Unkapped and Music Haus that shifted in. Raced four wide without cover for the majority of the event. Performed below market expectations. When questioned rider R Douglas stated he was satisfied with the performance of the gelding which was first up and in his opinion would benefit from todays race.

The Flying Sun Rider reported that saddle slipped back after jumping away. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.

Black Crystal Slow to begin. Trailed the field by a significant margin and failed to take any competitive part in the race. Trainer H White was notified that a warning would be now placed on the mare for being uncompetitive.

Dee Ennay Over raced in the early stages. Passing the 800m shifted out before being straightened by its rider. Had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 100m.

Music Haus Passing the 800m shifted out and away from the heels of Dee Ennay that shifted out. Performed below market expectations. When questioned regarding the performance rider C Pace stated the mare failed to travel throughout the event and did not handle todays track conditions. Post race Veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near fore knee.

Lochend Emmarose Slow to begin.

Race 2 lockie campbell memorial trophy race (3) handicap 1000 metres:

Shes Miss Lippy Slow to begin.

Rock Hard Star Raced three wide for the majority of the event.

Ragtime Raced four wide for the majority of the event. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted rider C King explained that she had been instructed to ride the mare forward as it has been at its most previous starts. She added that after being unable to settle in a position outside the leader she did look to restrain her mount to obtain cover however no sooner had she done that her mount was placed under pressure and failed to respond to her riding.

Salaqua When questioned rider J Peat explained that the mare was very worked up pre race and over raced throughout the event.

Race 3 killawarra house accomodation maiden plate - 1650 metres:

Kalaru Girl Bumped on jumping away by Follies that shifted in. Raced three wide without cover from the 1000m.

Slow and Besold Commenced a four wide run without cover from the 800m to improve its position.

Lucky Hotel Over raced through the early and middle stages. Led the field rounding the turn near the 1000m shifted out to a position one off the fence carrying Kalaru Girl wider on the course. When questioned regarding the performance rider D Walker stated the gelding which was having its first start the Melbourne way of going raced greenly throughout and failed to negotiate the turns and in her opinion would be better suited to a track bigger than todays.

Follies Under pressure from the 800m before commencing to give ground passing the 600m before being eased down. Rider T Lake stated the mare felt sore behind. A post race Veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hind hock. Co Trainer T Kilgower was notified that Veterinary certificate of fitness must be produced prior to racing again.

Race 4 kv auto electrics trophy race (2) handicap - 1650 metres:

Een Leven Last raced June 2015 examined pre race by RV Veterinary surgeon and passed fit to race. Eased down in the straight.

Taqneen Slow to begin.

Bar Date Held up rounding the home turn behind the weakening Bern For You before shifting out to obtain clear running. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.

Bern For You (5th Placegetter) Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. When questioned regarding if there was an opportunity to obtain some cover in early the stages. Rider T Lake stated that he was instructed to ride his mount in a forward a positon and after beginning awkwardly from the outside barrier he found himself caught wide. He added that when he attempted to obtain a trailing positon behind Golden Tart the speed of the race slowed down and he ended up racing on that mares heels, for this reason he elected to allow his mount to stride forward in three wide and as the gelding is one paced he was under pressure for the majority of the event. T Lake was Severely Reprimanded under the provisions of AR137(b) for failing to ride his mount out fully to the end of the race. In assessing penalty Stewards could not be satisfied that his actions had affected the placings and that this was the first time that he had been in breach of this rule.

Race 5 epv towers golden thong open trophy race handicap - 1200 metres:

Chow Meow Rider T Lake reported that the gelding was not suited by todays track conditons.

Race 6 the happy birthday pickers open trophy race handicap - 2600 metres:

Trending Hard Commenced awkwardly. Over raced through the early and middle stages. In the straight lay in under pressure. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the gelding rider A Bell explained that she was instructed to ride her mount where comfortable in attempt to finish off. She added that the gelding over raced for the first half of the race and when the field quickened up from the 1000m she was left flat footed and was unable to maintain a position in contact with the majority of the field. A Bell conceded that in hindsight she should of made a greater attempt to place her mount under pressure from the 1000m to maintain contact with the field instead of letting the field get so far in front her forcing her to make a wide and sustained run from the 1000m.

Contessa Dream Over raced through the early and middle stages. Raced three wide from the 1000m.

Tip Rat Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining the led passing the 1600m.

Frisky No More Performed Poorly under pressure from the 1000m before being eased down. Rider J Peat was of the opinion that the gelding had choked down. A post race Veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.

Marlo Man Raced four wide from the 1000m to improve its positon.

Prince Of Oz Raced three wide without cover in the early stages before being restrained to obtain cover near the 1400m.

Heebites Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event.

Kidfontein Rider R Kirkpatrick accidentally dropped his whip near the 250m.
