Race 5 SUTTON GRANGE WINERY HEALESVILLE CUP - 1650 metres:

Prior to correct weight being declared G Seccombe rider of Tip Rat (2nd placegetter) viewed the stewards patrol footage before lodging an objection against Maldonado (NZ) (1stplacegetter) alleging interference from the 250 meters to the winning post. On evidence it was established that Maldonado (NZ) had shifted out on straightening when Tip Rat had not yet established running to the outside of Maldonado (NZ) heels. Then over the concluding stages Maldonado (NZ) commenced lay out under pressure and as such Tip Rat was carried out over the concluding 50 metres. As stewards could not be fully satisfied that the interference suffered to Tip Rat warranted a reversal of the placings stewards dismissed the objection and correct weight was declared.
