Race 1 BITTERN MARKET MAIDEN PLATE - 2000 metres:

Earn A Quid Over-raced in the middle stages. Lay in under pressure over the concluding stages.

Gilderoy Trainer Mrs T Christie was fined $50 under the provisions of AR140A(1) for presenting the gelding in the mounting yard without a cross over noseband which is part of its approved gear. Slow to begin. Passing the 150 meters when laying in had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Three Handles.

Chesters Girl Raced wide without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained a ruptured near fore tendon. Trainer Ms R Waymouth was notified that prior to starting again she would be required to produce a veterinary certificate of fitness for the mare. R Waymouth stated that it was now her intention to retire Chesters Girl.

El Lil Hope Over-raced in the early stages.

Race 2 SOHO LAWYERS OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 2000 metres:

Super Wildwood Knuckled on jumping before shifting in bumping King Joy. Raced wide in the early stages before striding forward to settle outside the leader passing the 1500 meters.

King Joy Slow to begin before being bumped of Super Wildwood. Raced wide without cover from the 1000 meters.

Befitting Slow to begin.

Race 3 CCAFF 1200 MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres:

Tiny Tambourine Prior to the start begin affected, lunged forward breaking open its barrier and galloped for a short distance before being restrained by its rider. Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and passed fit to run.

Ten Times After being fractious in the barriers underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to run.

Delightful Spirit Bumped on jumping. Shortly after straightening had to be steadied outwards to avoid the heels of Commanderbrae Hana, which had been carried out by Dangerous Sister (D Walker) which shifted out. D Walker was severely reprimanded for shifting ground when insufficiently clear.

Commanderbrae Hero Raced wide without cover throughout. Steadied and carried out shortly after straightening to avoid the heels of Dangerous Sister which shifted out.

Dangerous Sister Shifted out on straightening. Improved performance queried. When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance today, Trainer Mr G Cluning stated that the mare had a tendency to be field shy and that was today suited by racing to the outside of other runners. Mr Cluning further added that the mare had today appreciated the addition of Ear Muffs for the first time.

Mirrabilly Passing the 800 meters when over-racing had to be steadied to avoid the heels of La Monet which shifted in.

La Monet Commenced awkwardly. Passing the 800 meters shifted in when over-racing.

Likeit Commenced awkwardly shifted out and bumped Delightful Spirit.

Race 4 CARPET CALL TROPHY RACE(2) HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Maldonado Shortly after the start had to be checked when buffeted between I Like Ike and Bellefontein which was carried out after bumping with Mr Trim (NZ). Performed below market expectations. Rider R Douglas stated that although being inconvenienced shortly after the start, the gelding travelled well throughout, though when placed under pressure in the straight failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Mr Trim(NZ) Carried out on jumping by Rock Hard Star which shifted out.

I Like Ike Shortly after the start shifted in after being bumped on the hindquarters by Maldonado which was carried out.

Liegeman Raced wide without cover throughout.

Rock Hard Star Shifted out on jumping.

Race 5 CROWNBET OPEN TROPHY RACE HANDICAP - 1200 metres:

Coffee Raced wide without cover throughout. Rider G Seccombe could offer no explanation for todays below market expectation performance.

Keep Happy Raced wide without cover throughout. Approaching the 300 meters steadied to avoid the heels of Coffee which was carried out by Deni Flyer which shifted out marginally. Performed below market expectations. Rider D Waymouth could offer no explanation for todays performance.

Deni Flyer Shifted out passing the 300 meters.

Rapete Commenced awkwardly losing ground. Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until approaching the 200 meters.

Race 6 HERITAGE TAVERN TROPHY RACE - 1600 metres:

Exponential Refused to jump missing the start by 10 lengths. Trainer Mr P Foster was notified that prior to starting again the gelding would be required to complete a trial to the satisfaction of the stewards.

Wright Opinion Raced wide without cover throughout.

Lubricate Over-raced in the early stages.

Ya Crackin Jokes Slow to begin.

Giftant Slow to begin.

Regal Master Passing the 200 meters when laying in, had to steadied to avoid the heels of Lubricate. Rider C Kirkpatrick was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip on seven occasions prior to the 100 meters.
