Race 1: Close finish for the first of the day between the winner Anahata and favourite Hot Lei. Ridden by Reece Goodwin and trained by Debra Nardino, Anahata stole the 1200m Maiden Plate by only 0.3 of a length.

Race 2: Reece Goodwin scored his second win for the day aboard Lady Dundee. Trained by father Barry Goodwin, the 6yo Bay Mare easily won the 1600m Maiden Plate by 3 lengths.

Race 3: Top weight The Sands win gave jockey Reece Goodwin a riding treble and father, Barry, a training double. Well backed, The Sands was sent out a short favourite, winning by 1.5 lengths to the roar of the punters.

Race 4: Apprentice Jack Peat scored his first win for the season aboardd the Anthony Barber trained True Brave. With a starting price of $11, True Brave upset the favourite Howling Wolf winning the 1300m Open Trophy by 0.2 of a length.

Race 5: Chacella trained by Adam O’Neill and ridden by Courtney Pace won the 1600m Restricted Trophy (3). Only 2.5 lengths covered the small field of four, with Chacella winning by 0.75 of a length.

Race 6: The distance race of the day, the 2100m Open Trophy, was won by top weight Elusive King. Owned and trained by Anne Maree Curren, Elusive King came down the outside lane to win easily by 4 lengths. The win gave apprentice jockey Jack Peat a double for the day. Elusive King now qualifies for the $1,000 bonus if he can win the 3000m Sister Olive Open Trophy Handicap at the next Yea meeting, Saturday 19th December.

Race 1: Trainer Tracey Josephs returned to the Picnics winning the 1500m Quilly Park Maiden Plate with High Richdane ridden by Matthew Corbisiero.

Race 2: Both jockey Debbie and trainer Bec Waymouth were all smiles as Keep Happy won the 1200m Trophy (1) Handicap. Keep Happy was sent out the $2.25 favourite and did not disappoint, easily winning by 2 lengths.

Race 3: A great ride by Darrell Burnet on The Soprano to score his first win at the Picnics. Trained by Robert Kingston, the equal $3.20 favourite won the Maiden by 1 length.

Race 4: Jockey Reece Goodwin notched up his third win for the season winning 1600m Open Trophy Handicap on Melodies Way. The 7yo bay mare trained by David Brideoake won by 1.5 lengths.

Race 5: In the 1600m Trophy (2) Handicap it was a good win by the $2.70 favourite Louie The Lip. Ridden by Courtney Pace and trained by Ray West, the top weight won by 1.25 lengths.

Race 6: In the last, Know This trained by Anthony Cosgriff, won the 1600m Open Trophy Handicap by 1.25 lengths. The win scored jockey Ashlee Beer her third win for the season.
