Matthew Rides a Treble
Much improved jockey Matthew Corbisiero who outrode his claim during the season added another highlight to his short career with a treble at Woolamai.

He began with a very patient ride on the consistent High Kinglana, settling him at the rear of the field and finishing strongly in the straight to win with 67.5kg. This consistent son of King's Best has now won 8 of its 19 starts.

In the next two races Matthew booted home Malikonjo in another well timed ride and Royal Orders who looked all but gone on the turn only to fight back to down the Adam Bodey riddern Caratime.

Another highlight of the day was new jockey Andrew Gauci riding his first winner at only his 2nd ride at the picnics, congratulations Andrew.
