Xmas Picnic Racing Times Eight

With recent rains forcing the cancellation of picnic meetings it was good to get a meeting away at Yea in the lead up to Xmas. Racing Victoria provided a lot of support by adding an additional two races to what is normally only a six race programme.

Craig Kirkpatrick returned to the winners list with a vengence by riding a treble on the day. Apprentice Michael Schrapel looks like he has improved over the break and in what is only his second season kicked home the winner of the first event in good style.

The feature race of the day was the 3000m Sister Olive Hcp and the class runner of the field Hoaks was far to good for them winning win by 9L.

Dan Dash made it two on end at the picnics, following up from its close win at Balnarring by beating fast finishing Dover.

Results and Stewards report for Yea.
