The Weather Breaks and Balnarring Turns on a Cracker
It took the last day of the Melbourne Cup carnival to finally turn on Melbourne's spring weather which made for an ideal day of picnic racing at Balnarring. A large crowd was in attendance and with big fields the racing was competitive with a number of tight finishes.

Riding honours went to Caitlin Jones who at her first picnic race ride steered home the Dianne Clover trained Brass Razoo to win the first race. It was good to see a couple of the other female jockeys take it up to the boys with both Whitney Hurst and Dani Walker riding a winner each.

The rest of the program went to Adam Bodey who rode a treble and looks like he has started off the season where he finished off last year having now won 9 races.
