Alexandra Finishes with a Blast
Alexandra raceclub finished the season with a successful meeting despite some early dramas. With their Cup meeting cancelled due to a wet track once again it looked like water would cause trouble. This time in the form of a burst water pipe but despite some anxious moments everything was sorted and the meeting went ahead.
A large crowd turned out for the day in brilliant sunshine to witness champion jockey Adam Bodey break the all time riding record at the picnics by recording his 57th winner. This broke the long standing record of Gavin Brady and it was extra special as he won on Gold Viper who he both owns and trains. Herald Sun news article, Life's a Picnic for Mr Popular.
