Alexandra Report Saturday 19th January 2008
It was ironical that last season Alexandra could not race due to the lack of rain and todays meeting was cancelled because of the rain. About 12pm the Stewards declared the meeting off due to the state of the track.
A big disappointment for the Club, patrons and picnic racing participants. Nonetheless, the meeting did occur without any horse races. The band played, a couple of bookies stayed, there were two races of the human kind and despite the overcast weather people did seem to have a good time. Check out the photos in the gallery.
Let's hope the Club has more luck at their next meeting on Sunday 10th February 2008.

Woolamai Report Sunday 20th January 2008
In contrast to Alexandra the weather was fine and despite rain across many parts of Victoria, Woolamai received very little and the track was good. A reasonable crowd was in attendance to enjoy the day and the racing was competitive. The first race went to Timrice who kept improving from its recent two runs back from a spell, appreciated the 2000m and with Kane Harris aboard won at the good odds of $8-00.

The second went to Toy Fox who has kept improving since it won its maiden at Drouin and gave Kane Harris an early double. Backed from $7-00 into $4-00 bookmakers bet good odds about this horse given its recent form and paid the penalty for their generosity.

Seto Sapphire, a Woolamai track specialist continued with his outstanding record at the track winning his sixth race from eleven starts at the track. Adam Bodey held the fence and kicked him clear on the turn to burn them off giving nothing else a chance.

Resuming from a spell, Fair Bianca won the fourth race, getting up in a close photo from Regal Reason.

Race five was won by Warrigal Tom who won yet another race this season making it seven wins from eight picnic starts and appears to have the horse of the year title all sewn up.

The final race was an open affair with Lukadat returning from a spell to win from the favourite Just Kurrupt at $6-00.

The photo gallery and picnic results have been updated for the Woolamai meeting.
